At the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Foundation, we are committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. Our initiatives go beyond supporting law enforcement, reaching into the heart of the community to lend a helping hand to families in need.
One of our most cherished programs is Operation Turkey and Operation Easter, where we partner with local organizations to provide holiday meals to less fortunate families. From Thanksgiving feasts to Easter dinners, we ensure that every family can enjoy a full, traditional holiday meal they may not otherwise afford.
What makes these operations truly special is the way the meals are delivered—by our dedicated Sheriff’s deputies, who personally bring the packages to homes across Mariposa County. These moments of connection create a sense of care, dignity, and community that embodies our mission.
Through these efforts, and with the generous support of local partners and residents, we are building stronger bonds and bringing hope to those who need it most.
In response to the devastating Oak Fire—a 19,244-acre blaze that tragically displaced over 120 residents and destroyed countless homes due to an act of arson—the Foundation acted swiftly to provide monetary assistance. We launched a significant relief effort to support those affected, helping families recover and rebuild their lives. This initiative was a powerful demonstration of community solidarity and resilience in the face of adversity. The outpouring of support from our community, alongside the hard work of our deputies, underscores the strength of our local spirit and our commitment to standing by each other during difficult times.
We’re also passionate about investing in the future of public safety through scholarship opportunities. Each year, we award scholarships to high school students pursuing degrees in law enforcement or criminal justice, helping them take the first step toward meaningful careers in public service. Additionally, we sponsor cadets who are working toward becoming sworn officers by attending the Police Academy, easing the financial burden of their training.
Additionally, we have a strong partnership with Mariposa County Animal Control, where we heavily support efforts to help animals in need. Through monetary donations, we assist in getting animals adoptable by providing vaccinations and ensuring they are spayed or neutered. This partnership underscores our commitment to creating a safe and caring environment for all members of our community, including our four-legged friends.
Through these initiatives and more, we are dedicated to building a stronger, more connected Mariposa.
The Mariposa County Sheriff’s Foundation is proud to partner with the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control Unit to support a vital initiative focused on saving and rehoming animals in need. Through generous public donations, our foundation helps fund the spaying and neutering of animals that would otherwise face euthanasia; giving them a second chance at life and making them more adoptable. This program not only reduces the financial burden on future pet owners but also promotes responsible pet ownership and reduces overpopulation in our community.
The Mariposa County Sheriff's Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the safety, security, and quality of life for our community. By becoming a supporter, you join a network of individuals and businesses who are passionate about making a difference in Mariposa County.
